DAVIT KARAPETYAN
Experienced laboratory executive and chemical engineer with more than 17 years of progressive experience in fire assay, precious metals analysis, metallurgical testing, quality assurance, and laboratory management across the mining, geology, refining, and industrial production sectors, including 9 years in senior management as Head of Fire Assay Laboratory. Throughout my career, I have performed and supervised all stages of analytical testing — from sample receipt, preparation, fusion and cupellation through instrumental analysis, interpretation, and final reporting — ensuring strict compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality assurance requirements, and international analytical standards. My technical expertise includes Fire Assay for gold, silver, and platinum group elements; Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS); Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS); ICP-OES; titration and wet chemistry methods; carbon and sulfur analysis; acid digestion techniques; metallurgical process control; and precious metals refining analysis. I have extensive experience in fire assay method development, laboratory reconstruction, ISO 17025 implementation, interlaboratory comparison testing, and analytical quality systems. In addition to hands-on analytical work, I have designed and maintained rigorous QA/QC programs using certified reference materials (CRMs), duplicates, blanks, instrument calibration, and preventive maintenance systems to ensure analytical accuracy, traceability, and data integrity.
